Are your followers losing interest in your content?
This proven, 4-step writing method will help you retain and grow your following
Why are your customers losing interest in your content?
You use spell check, Grammarly, and the best email marketing service. Unfortunately, your email subscriptions have dwindled each week. Your advertisements haven't been doing the trick lately. The offers and content are reasonable; why are they losing interest?
Your problem may not be the offer or content if it is genuinely in demand. Instead, the writing style is what may need to be reviewed. This short blog today can find a quick and straightforward (and free) tip on how to outline your blog, article, or advertisement. It's called the AIDA method. If you want more explanation, I found more details in a $3.99 book on Amazon called "This book will teach you how to write better," written by Neville Medford.
Neville isn't the inventor of this method, but in his 54 pages, he explains it very well. I'll do my best to give you the basics in less than 1,000 words. We can't promise an increase in your subscriber rate, but with better writing, you may be able to stop the bleeding.

Attention
The first thing, of course, is grabbing your reader's attention. We do this in the headline and first paragraphs by detailing a problem or opportunity your audience can relate to. Asking questions like; Having trouble losing weight? Your thin audience members will not read this, but you aren't targeting them. How to increase employee retention! Again, employers without this issue may not read this, but you aren't targeting them. Not everyone has the same problem at the same time.
In sales, we try to solve problems. Then, we sell solutions to those issues. What problem are you trying to solve in this article or ad? That is how you grab the attention of your targeted audience. If the customer can't relate to the problem, he will turn the page or click on the following link.

Interest
This is the storytelling part of your publication. You can use statistics that help your case. For example, 14% of employees are engaged in the workplace, causing massive turnover rates. Here, you take their problem and define it a bit more. Using statistics or storylines, you are empathizing by knowing their symptoms. Your readers may not really know if they have a problem until you start pointing out the symptoms.
You have them moving through the article nodding their heads. Yes, they have this problem and can relate to the symptoms you are outlining. However, as they move their heads up and down, you are gaining credibility.
Desire
Sell the sizzle! Salespeople know what this means by identifying the features and benefits of your solution.
Implementing this program reduces turnover by 12%.
In 4-short weeks you can lose 12 lbs.
How can your answer take away the problem they are having? Remember, we solve problems to gain customers and clients.
Be careful in this area not to get diarrhea of the mouth. Talk about a few features that will cure the symptoms you discussed in the Interest area. I've written before about never saying in blah, blah, that you can say in blah. If you start talking about benefits that aren't a concern to the client, they begin to shake their head no - and that is not what you want.

I can't tell you how many times I've read an article and then had to do a Google search on how to connect with the company or person. Informational ads are great, but if you have gone through steps 1, 2, and 3 - and they are nodding their heads yes, get them to take some action.
Giveaways, offering 25% off, get on your email list for more tips, whatever it is, do something. Then, give them ways to follow through and solve that problem you have outlined.
