Sincerity sells
I think this is a big question, and one that you need to answer from deep within. Think of it this way; if you were in the position of your buyer, would you buy from the company you represent? What are the benefits in dealing with you and your companies offering? What is the best decision? We all know that we need to sell to our customers’ needs and wants, but how we present our products and services is key. If we don’t believe in what we are selling, or that it really is the best solution for our customers, it will show in our presentation. Along with all the costs & benefits, plusses and minuses, if all things are equal between you and your competition, sincerity will sell. That sincerity comes from you, and your customers are going to be aware of this. If your closing ratio is falling, is it because your company has changed or because your perception of the company has changed? If you are involved on a personal level with your prospects, and are face to face with a lot of interaction during the sales cycle, it is imperative that you believe in what you are selling and who you are selling for. Sincerity sells … you can see it in the faces of enthusiastic sales people. Those that aren’t cynical, sarcastic, or just not happy.
