When is good enough okay?
You are a professional. You have dedicated the past 1, 2 or more decades to this. Are you good enough to stop learning? When will you be good enough to stop growing?
I want you to take a moment and think about those questions. Have you stopped growing? Have you also stopped advancing? If you were better at; sales, collaboration, communication, leadership, or whatever your profession is, what would that bring you? Could it be more time off with the family? Possibly a higher income, corner office, a team to manage on your own? If you were just a bit better, would you have won that last .... whatever it is?
In numerous blogs I write about goals. Let's be honest though, goals are not everything. They are needed, but growth is more important. Did you get better at anything today? It's all a journey, and setting goals will get us to destinations. However, a growth mindset goes beyond single destinations, its just the idea of how far you will get.
What's next
What is your next challenge? Have you signed up for a new class, workshop, or event? When is the last time you read something different? This journey we are on doesn't all have to be about work or your profession either. We have many parts of our lives that we need to be intentional about such as; family, health, social, spiritual, and mental aspects. Are you getting better? When is the last time you purposefully, intentionally, improved?
